Radio Hartlepool ‘gains more FM listeners’
102.4 Radio Hartlepool was this morning inundated with telephone calls and text messages from new listeners.
Bad weather in the
North East has caused disruption amongst the regional radio stations that
broadcast on FM.

102.4 Radio Hartlepool was the only FM station in the region left ‘on air’ this morning, broadcasting ‘loud and clear’.
The stations Managing Director and presenter of ‘The Weekday Breakfast Show’ Jason Anderson had this to say.... “Radio Hartlepool’s phone lines were jammed with new listeners calling us to say that they have now switched their dials onto us. The number of texts into the Studio also went crackers!” Jason also went on to say... ”Today has got to be, without reservation, our highest number of FM listeners to date.”
Hartlepool’s Community Radio Station, out of the bad weather situation, has now gained a significant number of new listeners. Station bosses have now put into action plans of how to keep those new listeners tuned in, with a constant announcement on FM today of programme styles and competitions that new listeners can expect.
